After helping my sister relocate from Southern Calif. to Bullhead City, we heard this was a good local place so a large group of us tried it on a recent Sunday night. There were eight of us and there were some hits, misses and an in between. On the plus side, two in the party ordered the meatloaf special and said it was good - just like dear old Mom use to make. There were two sandwich orders - one corned beef and one reuben sandwiches. On the reuben, we were informed there was no sauerkraut. The reuben sandwich was "ok" without the sauerkraut but both noted that the corned beef was tough. I ordered the NY strip and it was ok. This is not the type of place where you should expect a great steak so my expectations were not that high. The steak was cooked to order and was acceptable. One really disappointing thing was the desert. We ordered a few pieces of cheesecake and it was fine. Like most restaurants they purchase it from a vendor which is fine. As I was having the least bite of one of the pieces, it became quickly evident that there was some mold on the cake. I visually inspected and found a small mold mark on the bottom of the crust. I didn't say anything to my companions as we all had enjoyed an otherwise good meal. I hope the staff keeps an eye on this. I will try this place again on my next visit and based on other reviews go for the breakfast...and skip the cheesecake.

Was told the wait would be 10 min, we waited over 30 min. Some of the food came out late. The place very warm. Food was not good.

  • Joseph P.

Was told it would be 10 minute wait, it ended up being closer to 45. It was far to hot in the restaurant and probably needs a new A/C. I am the type that will eat nearly anything but I ordered biscuits and gravy which unfortunately was inedible. The one saving grace was the staff was really friendly and it did have a locals feel to it.

Worth the 5 Minute drive over from Laughlin. The food was good and the prices were even better. Service was very friendly.

I was staying in Laughlin and me and my girlfriend got tired of the mediocre casino food. We a Yelp search on my phone and came across Earl's. I made the 1 mile drive across state line and went to this nice restaurant. Upon entering I saw a white board that had specials that change daily that weren't on the menu. An older gentlemen begin to explain the board and introduced himself as Earl. Seeing as how it was lunch he recommended the 14 oz Steak that was on special for $9.99, because as he put it "I've been getting my meat from California for the last 30 years from the same guy and it's fresh" I took him up on it and was very satisfied. We even came back the next day to eat breakfast. We got the normal pancake, eggs, sausage, bacon special that was $5 but on sale for $4. If you are in Laughlin please save yourself the time and just eat here for less and for far better food. Next time I am in town I will stop in again, thanks Earl!

Sunday, arrival about 12:45 for lunch. Unique establishment, surely one-of-a-kind. The building tries to resemble a castle, but the size distracts. Inside is something smaller than a castle. There is a bar and a room with tables and booths - seating for about maybe forty. There is more than adequate wait staff so the service can't be faulted; nor can the quantity. I had a "New York" steak {$12.99} purported to be 12 OZ [bone-in], my spouse had baby back ribs, a half rack {$10.99}, both very reasonably priced. The ribs where excellent while my steak was resistant, but tasty. Bottom line: 4 stars for QUANTITY & PRICE, 3 stars for QUALITY. I'd probably go back if we're there on a Sunday since the other top eateries weren't open for Sunday lunch.

2010 Best kept secret in town. If you like REAL Home Cook'n, you've got to try this place. Great small town atmosphere. Great for breakfast, but get there early on Sat./Sun. Try out the #86 Breakfast Special for $3.99, always a hit. Served 7 days week! We have been going there for years. A variety of Steaks served all day long. If you like a cocktail, they have that too. Service is always fast and friendly. Next time your in town make sure you make the stop, it's well worth it.

Mom and I went to Earls for breakfast today. I had a perfect homecookin' cheese, tomato & avocado omelette. Mom had I think it was called the #87 which was eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles and she got a side of hashbrowns, all of which she was happy with. The waitress was friendly and did a great job especially with my mom's order. Mom is pretty much one of those difficult customers who requests 'special' this and special that pretty much telling the cook exactly how she wants everything cooked. :D All good here food & service. We'll be back.

We have been wanting to try out the Castle because several of our friends have told us that the food was really good. We finally found our way to the spot yesterday for breakfast. You can tell that the restaurant is clearly a locals favorite, which, in our experience, is always a good sign! We had mixed feelings once we walked in though. The tables were not the cleanest and the waitress seemed like she could be hit or miss on friendliness. We ordered anyway. The food was actually really good and the waitress warmed up after a little bit so our overall experience was good, not great but not horrible. We will most likely go back and try it again sometime but at least for now we know what it's all about.

Nice place people are friendly the food is good the reason I have 3 stars instead of 4 stars due to the fact my brother got salsa spelled on him and they didn't offer to discount of comp him because of it. The other reason is the food is good but not spectacular.

    (3)
  • Trina C.

This is the best restaurant around and it's not just the food which is great it's the people who work here. The prices are great and they have cocktails

    (3)
  • Angelica S.

You can't beat the price or the friendliness of the people, but I can say that I've had better food. I'm not local to Arizona so when I heard about this cute mom and pop shop I was kinda excited, but I was let down just a little bit. I come here with my grandparents, they love it so I do it for them

    (2)
  • Alberto A.

The food was good. Since we got there and it was empty, we got service right away. The people can be friendlier to make me want to come back more often.

  • Ferial M.

Clean place, very kind people, delicious meal and a fantastic salad. Surely I rather to recommend this place to others and I will have my tomorrow breakfast there.

There is nowhere better to enjoy breakfast in Bullhead! Love the service, food, and of course, the price!

I don't understand why Earl's has so many negative rev.iews here. I have eaten there 3 times and each time I have been very pleased with the food and friendly service. I would eat here more often if I lived close by here. I stopped in today for an early lunch, ordered the chicken fried steak which came with mashed potatoes, country gravy and mixed vegetables. The vegetables looked like they had been packaged frozen but they tasted okay. The mashed potatoes and country gravy were excellent and the 2 large pieces of chicken fried stek were probably the best that I have ever eaten. Service was prompt and friendly as it has always been when I'm there. Cost of the meal with coffee including tax was only $7.00, which is a real bargain these days.

  • Bob G.

This place is not much to look at and it's a sketchy part of town but the food is great! Stopped for breakfast on the way home to San Diego on a friends suggestion and was not disappointed. Prices are cheap, service is friendly. Service might be a little slow but they take the time to cook it the way you wanted it

    (5)
  • Donna W.

Great food. I had cheese enchiladas that were tasty. One waitress was really sweet. Unfortunately ours was not sweet but would prob go back

We started at Earls in Orange CA, now we come here when we are in Laughlin. Sad to say service and food needs improvement.

  • Tony H.

Definitely a locals place, not hard to find and great food. It's small inside, they do have a bar off to the right when you enter the main door. They also have a patio for the outdoor enthusiasts...that could be interesting in July. You're food would never get cold that's for sure. Word of caution for anyone over 6 foot tall: Watch your head inside. Ceilings are extremely low and you'll scalp yourself if not careful! Staff was nice and service good. I had the patty melt, just what you'd want after a night of too much Laughlin-ing. My girlfriend had the breakfast special #86. 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage and a short stack (think Grand Slam but way better). MMMMMM good.

    (4)
  • Christa D.

Came across this place about a year ago. It was delicious and servings were huge! Came to Laughlin and ate there again today. Just as good as last time! Wish this place was close to phoenix.

I came here with great skepticism but my local friend has herd the food here was good and my boyfriend said he had eaten here before. We sit down and order 3 iced teas and 1 raspberry iced tea. It was served right away and it's the standard. I love iced tea and have had some bad times but the tea here is decent. Ok so the service is not the most professional. The waitress had to check the kitchen to see if the roast pork was done cooking something I think an excellent server should already know. My boyfriend ordered incorrectly and changed his order so instead of just correcting what she had written down the waitress started a new check then I had to correct her when she said "you ordered the soup right". Then a few minutes later she comes back to double check who and what salads and soup we ordered.. Well the salad looks like bagged salad with iceberg carrots an cabbage. One salad was ordered with blue cheese dressing and came with no dressing and blue cheese crumbles instead another was ordered with cheese but came without! Next my chips salsa and guacamole came!! Finally something to rave about!! The chips are amazing!! The salsa and guacamole were very good! Not to spicy but a nice little kick! I did however want some lime but I used the lemon from my tea for it was much faster. It took a bit to get our orders but not to long. I had the meatloaf sandwich and it was just ok the bread was not to great but I shared a biscuit with my bf and it was delicious!! Oh my the mashed potatoes are instant potatoes!! Ewe yuk!! I tasted the pot roast and it was very yummy!! My friend said her roast pork sandwich was good but it looked like it was lacking on the meat! All our meals were very salty especially the gravy! Our waitress was very sweet and tried her best even though our dining experience wasn't perfect!! Side note there is senior discounts!!

Great breakfast #86 add hash-browns waitresses Laura and Cassie gave us great service. Very sweet. Not sure why bad reviews. Love the food and the drinks. lWill definitely be back

The water was clean. The earls omelette was very tasty. I will return if I ever find myself in this town again.

  • Frank S.

Really disappointed! This used to be a G R E A T place, they had a total turn-about lately. Almost like they lost their mainstay cook or something...sad. Hope it works out...hoping to go back. Especially for their once fantastic meatloaf sandwich would be a coup for a once great establishment. GGGGRRRR

    (2)
  • Michael L.

If I could give it a 1/2 star I would the appetizer was still frozen in the middle, the pot roast tasted like it stayed in the microwave to long and was hard and burnt on the edges. My friends chicken fried steak was like rubber and she could not eat it. Another friend could not get what she wanted and had to have chicken strips which rated about a 4 on the one to ten scale The so called waitress acted like she was either high or had no clue what was going on and did not give a dam. DO NO THAT IS RIGHT DO NO GO TO EARLS instead drive down the street to BLACK BEAR DINER which has better food, good prices and waitress and waiters that care and do a great job REMEMBER NO EARLS

Passing thru bullhead and was recommended this tiny GEM! Wow, family of 3 for steak n eggs breakfasts and awesome bloody Mary's. . Very very good food and drinks. Will definantly Be back. Celine, our waitress really friendly and sweet. .

  • Glen F.

This place is very displeasing, we have never been fond of their food. We have always waited a long time for our food but, one day, they wouldn't bring us it at all. It was 3 hours before we left, after telling the waiter and the owner several times. It's just not worth it.

    (1)
  • Shelley M.

Used to be good, now, not so much. Food quality is going down hill since last year. Sad, we used to like this place. Food tastes stale and poor quality.

    (2)
  • Frank B.

Poor service. Hot pork sandwich was over 1/2 fat and gristle. Salad wasn't served until the meal and lettuce had brown edges. Waitress was told and said she informed the staff. Still charged full price. Also was out of chicken fried steak at noon.

    (1)
  • Kate K.

This place does not have good food. I've been here a couple times and am disappointed and bloated every time I leave. So I will not be going back. They don't have chicken fried chicken anymore, and that was really the only super good thing. I got the breakfast burrito and it was nothing special My friend had the huevos rancheros and it tasted not good My other friend had the steak and eggs which she said was like leather and eggs The people who got pancakes liked the pancakes. I mean, it's just not great-- you might as well eat at your hotel, or take a drive to the Wagon Wheel where the food is actually SUPER DELICIOUS.

Great breakfast. Excellent service. Huge portions at an incredible price! Had the Sonora Skin with chorizo!!!!

  • Michelle R.

Great Breakfast hideaway! Thank you yelpers for this. A hidden gem with cheap prices. Don't expect a whole lot from this greasy spoon. Staff is nice, but has a quirky attitude (which we dished right back). Good service... our coffee cup was always full. Hard as rock booths, so ask for a table if you want a little comfort. We came on a weekday and ordered the specials. I had the eggs and steak for like $4.99. My friend ordered the 86 special (?) I forgot the name, but it was dirt cheap.. $3.99 or somethng like that. There were 4 of us and I think we paid $25 with tax/ tip! Worth the drive if you're on the NV side... and just down the street is a Cheveron which I filled up for less than NV side.

    (4)
  • Nellie H.

Went there for breakfast service was extremely slow. People who came in after us got their food first. After an almost an hour of waiting for our food we left. My children were hungry and we couldn't wait any longer.

    (1)
  • Gino P.

First of all, the service here was disorganized and extremely slow. The couple next to us, despite coming in after us, ordered, ate and left before we even got our order! The food itself was good, if a little bland, but certainly edible. May return again, but only during off hours. Certainly many other options to explore nearby...

We ended up needing a place to eat after a little sightseeing and historic research in Laughlin and Bullhead City. I hopped on Yelp and found that Earl's was the least expensive and highest rated restaurant in the area. I directed 2 car fulls of family to Earl's and was VERY hesitant when we pulled up to the semi-rundown castle like building. We were all too hungry to start over and we were all VERY glad we didn't give up on it. Earl's is a great family friendly restaurant with good food, decent prices, and nice service. I ordered a basic grilled chicken salad and honestly, it's one of the best I've had in a long time. It's hard to screw up a chicken salad, but also hard to make one memorable - and this one definitely was. I can't pinpoint why exactly it was so good - but the chicken seemed fresh and had a great flavor and texture. My kids loved their meals, as did my spouse (who ordered an avocado hamburger that came out with an entire half and avocado - yum) and my in-laws both liked what they ended up with. I definitely think we'll end up at Earl's when we make the trip to Laughlin again in the future.

  • Troy C.

We were in Laughlin for a motorcycle rally so I Yelped for some food suggestions. Earl's came up as a well recommended option for breakfast so we made our way across the border to AZ to give them a try. Earl's is a small place that I would call a dive, that is a good thing. The wife ordered breakfast I ordered a Mexican combo plate. Both were good, not the best we ever had but good. Service was slow, somehow the several waitresses on duty were able to disappear for long periods of time, the place is so small I am not sure where they were hiding but it negatively impacted service.

    (4)
  • Ralph R.

Good food Good prices Great people Friendly Waitress I recommend this place

    (4)
  • Will E.

This place is a joke the food is terrible and it is hot as hell inside there. They also told me and my party the wait would be 10 minutes and it ended up being closer to 45. My buddy got biscuits and gravy and said it was horrible. I got french Toast and it has basically a fried egg with bread in it.

    (1)
  • Kevin S.

One star is generous for this place. If you have any pallet whatsoever save yourself the sore stomach and go somewhere else. Food was incredibly greasy and they do not use any quality ingredients. Very very very very grossed out first time I've ever not wanted to finish my meal.

  • Sarah M.

I've driven by this place before and wondered about it. It reminds me of the cheesy hotels they have near Disneyland on Harbor Blvd. My bf and I Yelped to find a highly rated place to eat breakfast, since they tend to be hard to come by in Laughlin. Earl's seemed to be the highest rated. Upon seeing it, we were both a bit sketchy, but we decided to try it. Its located next to a trailer park and some not so nice homes, so that part is a bit off putting. We each got the $5.49 breakfast special; two eggs, two bacon, two sausage and two pancakes. Eggs and bacon were good (typical eggs & bacon), we both LOVED the breakfast sausage they served and the pancakes were so huge and fluffy, I felt like I was eating dessert. Such a bargain for $5.49! The waitress was super sweet. I'd go back for breakfast for sure.

Our server today was the best, we had a couple big shots of Captain Morgan. The tuna melt was delicious too. Ricky is a good cook.

  • Uncle Al P.

Great place to eat breakfast, dirt cheap 4.99 for breafast specials (no substitutions) Very sweet waitresses, Bring the whole family and save big! Biker friendly Cool outdoor Castle Design. Full Bar but drinks are ok. Better just to eat here then go drink elsewhere.

    (4)
  • John H.

Dirty, dirty, dirty, My uncle took me there today for lunch today. Had a burger. It was more or less ok. However as I was sitting there, I saw a large roach walking on the floor. I stopped eating, told a older man, who I found out was Earl, and he got almost mad at me for pointing it out. He was a complete jerk, his resturante is gross, and We will never eat there again.

    (1)
  • Sylvia G.

The Yelpers were right!! The food us great! Portions are hearty and prices are just right!!!if you're in Laughlin, skip the buffets and come here instead.

    (5)
  • Valerie M.

My husband and I have driven past this place for years and finally decided to give it a try. We should have kept driving. The food was pretty gross. Hubbie described it as hospital food. The place was clean, had a unisex bathroom (kind of an ick factor but whatever) and we got ignored for like seven to eight mins upon walking in. Which made me feel uneasy and awkward because I didn't know if it was a place where you sat yourself or they sat you. Anyway, we sit down get our drinks and scan the menu. Everything seemed to have pretty good prices and sounded good. We ordered an appetizer of deep fried mushrooms. Hubbie liked them-- I wasn't a huge fan. The outside layer was good but then the mushroom inside was mushy and slimy. I ordered the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and hubbie got a burger. The food arrived, smelled and looked good. The taste was a whole other issue. The mashed potatoes were clearly instant, along with the gravy, the fries tasted like they bought them at the store in the frozen section. The chicken wasn't too bad but it wasn't good either. I don't even know how its possible to mess up on green beans but they did. We will not be returning and strongly suggest that you keep driving and eat somewhere else! I don't get how it's considered "home cooking" if they don't have fresh items.

Orange County residents read on!!! My wife and I have been coming to Laughlin and going by The Castle for some time and finally decided to look at Yelp and get an idea about the place. Yes it is sort of small. But. the food is great. The service is friendly. The portions are huge. The prices are reasonable. If you lived in either the City of Orange or Santa Ana, you might remember an Earl's restaurant on Tustin Avenue. Well, it is the same great food from the same great owner. Kind of funny that I used to eat at Earl's often in the O.C. but never met the gentleman. There this morning taking care of our very reasonable check was Earl himself. Had to go to Arizona to meet the man. We will be back!

  • Clark C.

this is the best chicken fried steak and i mean the best chicken fried steak i ever had

    (5)
  • Henry H.

I saw the favorable reviews so I decided to have breakfast here. Lord knows there aren't many decent places to eat in the Laughlin/Bullhead city area. I had the huevos rancheros, my wife had the chicken enchiladas. The food is homemade and was decent enough. Prices are cheap, breakfast for two was $15. I did have the misfortune of sitting on some hash browns from a previous diner that hadn't been cleaned off the seat. But all in all it would be worth going here again.

  • Antoinette T.

My grandfather wanted to take us to his favorite breakfast joint while we were staying with him and I wanted to do whatever he wanted to do :) So we went but I wasnt very encouraged by the outside of this place.... or the inside for that matter. It looked a bit run down and I had to remind myself that some of the best places are hole in the walls and to keep an open mind... besides, I knew my grandfather wouldn't take me to a bad place. There was so much on the menu that I got stuck between three things and didnt know what I was going to choose until i opened my mouth to order. I've been here multiple times since then because it is where my grandfather always wants to go when I ask him to dinner but other than that I would never go here. I basically order things that I figure are premade and can't really be messed up. However, that method blew up in my face when one time I ordered the fried mushrooms and the mushrooms inside were rotting and mushy. The water is tap water.... so it already sucks but this is beyond bad. You can taste the aftertaste through the soft drink syrup. Steer clear of this place.

  • Brenda M.

We had breakfast here with a group of ten and everyone enjoyed their meal. Home made gravy, good salsa, delicious hash browns, and the best buttermilk pancakes. The servers seemed so appreciative of our coming in. We loved the food and the service, a little drive into Bullhead but sure worth it.

    (4)
  • Michelle C.

We went there a year ago and the burgers are great, but my husband got the chili and a few hours later had the worst food poisoning ever. We haven't been back since.

    (2)
  • Sheri S.

The food is good but the place is kind of seedy. The owner doesn't put any money into the place to make it nicer and they go thru help frequently. Still, we think no one can touch their pancakes...

    (4)
  • Pedro Adrian E.

If I were to rate this place by impressions and looks, I probably would have rated this place zero stars, maybe it was the time I went that was empty and dark, but the interior does need reconditioning, maybe a bit of investing in new tables and chairs but I have to say the food made up the uglyness of this place. This is a small family owned restaurant in the middle of nowhere but the breakfast I had was well portioned, it was good and it was cheap. I had the house omellete wight the biscuit and gravy. Like all places I've eaten near laughlin the food needed a light touch of salt and Tabasco and from there it was... well real good. I will be comming back and I think that's what really matters

    (4)
  • Guy M.

Damn good food at good prices, Salsa is awesome

    (4)
  • Arlene C.

We saw this place coming back from Lake Havasu and thought it would be a good place to have breakfast. Boy we were wrong! The service was great but the food was terrible. I ordered over hard eggs and they arrived BURNED. The hash browns along with the biscuits and gravy were cold. Surprising since corned beef hash on the same plate was hot! My cranberry juice had a plastic/spoiled smell to it. My husband got bacon and eggs with some stale toast. The best part of this meal other than leaving was the coffee. Never going back to this place again.

    (1)
  • Sanchez F.

We tried it and probably won't be back, one of our party lucked out and got the fried chicken which was great, the rest of us weren't so lucky. The chicken fajita was terrible -dry meat, bell peppers and some onions ( tasted like left over turkey) cold rice, mildly warm beans. The salad which was suppose to be chef lacked meat and the greens where warm .

  • Mia L.

8.7.10: The Castle: Recommended by the place we rented our jet skis. So the place was alright, service was super though. So I bumped it up to 4 stars. Our coffee and waters were constantly filled up, my eggs and sausage were good just like anywhere else. I don't remember the dish my friend had but his rice was super good. It was a good size portion for 5 dollars. They had a $4.99 menu, so that was pretty cool.

    (4)
  • Steven P.

A hidden gem!! Just like the other yelper says. I will stop there for a meal from now, whenever I am in Laughlin. Breakfast was very good, service was excellent, and price was very affordable. What else can you ask for?

  • Wendy V.

We have driven past this place for years because it looked like a local bar next to a trailer park. We finally went with some friends after going out on the lake, they said we had to try the pork chops! yum, they were right. We have been back several times. The meat loaf is yummy, the pork chops are super yummy. I had a avocado club sandwich yesterday and love it. We are now regulars. I also found out the Earl is the same Earl that owned Earls Grill in Orange, CA. I had eaten there many times in the 70's after going out. We spoke to Jr. and he was awesome. Too bad, we just ate there tonight and took our neighbors because we have been telling them how good it was. The server "Brenda" decided to be rude, I guess she didn't feel like doing her job tonight, we had a couple of requests and it really seemed to bother her. She would disappear in the back for long periods at a time. When we were still eating she put the bill on our table without asking how everything was and if we wanted anything else. The couple we were with wanted dessert but the server never came back. Guess she didn't feel like serving us any more. Another couple that came in after us wanted to order dessert and she looked pissed about that too. The girl gave me a look like "what the hell?"My husband tipped her even though I told him not to. If it were my first time there, I would NOT go back. I would have given Earls 4 stars but with the service tonight I had to take one away. Sorry Earl!

Trusted the other Yelpers and they were not wrong! This place looks a little sketchy but the food is great and the servers were just awesome. Had the meat scamble with sausage, bacon and ham. The ham was really good - not cheapo deli ham. Loved the fact that I could get biscuits and gravy as my "bread" along with hash browns. My wife had the huevos rancheros (thumbs up), my son had the corned beef hash and eggs (another thumbs up) and my daughter had the biscuits and gravy with two sausage patties (double thumbs up). We cleaned the plates and the bill was pretty reasonable. If I am passing by, I will definitely be back. Every worker here was friendly. When the bathroom was busy, the waiter took her to the bathroom in the kitchen. This place is really friendly and helpful.

Whenever we visit Laughlin, my wife and I always plan to have at least one breakfast here. They make delicious food and they are very proud of their quality and the fact much of the food is homemade (just ask the waiter!). they have a few unusual items on their menu. The place is frequented by lots of locals which only adds to the pleasant environment. They are happy to give suggestions on what to order! The restaurant is very down home and cozy to sit in.

Good food, specials daily and inexpensive too. This place was definately "locals". Better than eating at the casino's across the river.

my cousin in bullhead city told us to meet him for dinner at the castle instead of the buffets in laughlin, and were very suprized at the size and quality of the dinners for the price. Very good value

Interesting joint. Good value for the cafe food they serve but is in need of a serious make over. Exposed plumbing in the dinning room is a bit of a turn off.

this is just a little hole in the wall local place. cheap food. average but decent taste. the people are friendly. we've gone back many times, mostly breakfast. omelets are great. so are there potato skins, and the 86 breakfast. can't beat the price for those items. if your looking for a five start restaurant in BHC or Laughlin your not going to find it.

Huge portions and great service what more can we ask for? It's a keeper for us! We will be coming back whenever we are in Laughlin.

After reading several Yelpers' reviews, we decided to try this place. It's across the street from a public park and situated at the entrance of a mobile home park. When we entered, we were warmly greeted by the staff. The menu is quite large and very reasonably priced. We settled on two breakfasts for our sons which consisted of 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links and toast. My wife and I both ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast. When it got to the table, the chicken fried steak was on one plate, the eggs and hash browns were on another and the biscuit and gravy was on a third plate: this plating was for each of us! The food was really tasty and well prepared: our pre-tip total was $35. We realized we spent more, about $45, pre-tip @ IHOP for breakfast the morning before, and for less food, quantity wise.

$5.49 menu is awesome. Best food during our stay in Laughlin. Worth the 5min drive across the river to eat here. We had breakfast, Huevos Rancheros was like my great grandma's. The #86 breakfast was filling, get the pancakes not the waffle.

Good breakfast & daily specials. Yelp reviews were right. Will go back. Oh and bloody Mary's were good. Seems like it's a locals place, I like that.

My hubby and I are pretty recent yelpers. While visiting Laughlin we thought we'd give it a try...and we found Earl's Castle. Food is decent, prices are good. It is definitely "home cookin". I had chicken enchiladas, he had huevos rancheros, with coffee only paid around $15. If you happen to be stuck in Laughlin, Earl's is a decent break from the buffets.

We had breakfast here about 3 years ago and the place showed us nothing, was not at all impressed. But friends kept talking about there lunch and dinners being so great. So we tried it again and were really happy, if you like liver and onions you have to try it. Breakfast has been good. Last time on our way back from Laughlin we stopped for breakfast and had two different specials, both great plus two coffees for less than $12.00. That's cheaper than fast food. I will admit that sometimes the help is a little quirky but most of them are long time employees.

Earl's is a good home style restaurant that also has some good Mexican food. Great daily specials also. I've had the pork chops for lunch. Portions are definitely generous. Service is friendly and good. Great spot for breakfast or lunch.

This place is not much to look at and it's a sketchy part of town but the food is great! Stopped for breakfast on the way home to San Diego on a friends suggestion and was not disappointed. Prices are cheap, service is friendly. Service might be a little slow but they take the time to cook it the way you wanted it

This place is very displeasing, we have never been fond of their food. We have always waited a long time for our food but, one day, they wouldn't bring us it at all. It was 3 hours before we left, after telling the waiter and the owner several times. It's just not worth it.

Used to be good, now, not so much. Food quality is going down hill since last year. Sad, we used to like this place. Food tastes stale and poor quality.

  • Frank B.

Poor service. Hot pork sandwich was over 1/2 fat and gristle. Salad wasn't served until the meal and lettuce had brown edges. Waitress was told and said she informed the staff. Still charged full price. Also was out of chicken fried steak at noon.

This is the best restaurant around and it's not just the food which is great it's the people who work here. The prices are great and they have cocktails

You can't beat the price or the friendliness of the people, but I can say that I've had better food. I'm not local to Arizona so when I heard about this cute mom and pop shop I was kinda excited, but I was let down just a little bit. I come here with my grandparents, they love it so I do it for them

Went there for breakfast service was extremely slow. People who came in after us got their food first. After an almost an hour of waiting for our food we left. My children were hungry and we couldn't wait any longer.

This place is a joke the food is terrible and it is hot as hell inside there. They also told me and my party the wait would be 10 minutes and it ended up being closer to 45. My buddy got biscuits and gravy and said it was horrible. I got french Toast and it has basically a fried egg with bread in it.

One star is generous for this place. If you have any pallet whatsoever save yourself the sore stomach and go somewhere else. Food was incredibly greasy and they do not use any quality ingredients. Very very very very grossed out first time I've ever not wanted to finish my meal.

    (1)

We went there a year ago and the burgers are great, but my husband got the chili and a few hours later had the worst food poisoning ever. We haven't been back since.

The food is good but the place is kind of seedy. The owner doesn't put any money into the place to make it nicer and they go thru help frequently. Still, we think no one can touch their pancakes...

Huge portions and great service what more can we ask for? It's a keeper for us! We will be coming back whenever we are in Laughlin.
